In 2021, the Peruvian dry peas market decreased by less than 0.1% to $X for the first time since 2016, thus ending a four-year rising trend. Over the period under review, consumption continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Ecuador (X tons), Canada (X tons) and the United States (X tons) were the main destinations of dry peas exports from Peru, together accounting for 82% of total exports. Italy, Jamaica, Spain and Chile lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 17%.
