After two years of growth, overseas purchases of worked flat glass decreased by -7.3% to X tons in 2021. In general, imports, however, enjoyed a significant expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by 400%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons, and then declined in the following year.

In value terms, worked flat glass imports shrank sharply to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, enjoyed a significant increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when imports increased by 284% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X, and then dropped significantly in the following year.

In 2021, China (X tons) was the main supplier of worked flat glass to Peru, with a 97% share of total imports. It was followed by Vietnam (X tons), with a 1.9% share of total imports.
