In general, imports, however, showed a remarkable increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when imports increased by 148% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2018 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, manganites, manganates, molybdates and tungstates imports fell sharply to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate strong growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 when imports increased by 180%. Imports peaked at $X in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
