Agricultural Appliance Market Size in Poland

The Polish agricultural appliance market skyrocketed to $X in 2021, increasing by 159% against the previous year. Overall, consumption continues to indicate buoyant growth. Agricultural appliance consumption peaked at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, consumption failed to regain momentum.

Agricultural Appliance Production in Poland

In value terms, agricultural appliance production expanded notably to $X in 2021 estimated in export price. In general, production, however, recorded a deep setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 when the production volume increased by 16% against the previous year. Agricultural appliance production peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, production remained at a lower figure.

Exports from Poland

In 2021, after two years of decline, there was significant decline in overseas shipments of agricultural appliances, when their volume decreased by -12.8% to X units. Overall, exports, however, continue to indicate a prominent increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 87%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at X units in 2020, and then contracted in the following year.

In value terms, agricultural appliance exports fell to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, exports saw a slight setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when exports increased by 26% against the previous year. The exports peaked at $X in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2021, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Exports by Country

Germany (X units) was the main destination for agricultural appliance exports from Poland, with a 38% share of total exports. Moreover, agricultural appliance exports to Germany exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Belarus (X units), threefold. The third position in this ranking was held by the Czech Republic (X units), with an 8.3% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume to Germany amounted to +11.8%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Belarus (+21.6% per year) and the Czech Republic (+25.9% per year).

In value terms, Germany ($X) remains the key foreign market for agricultural appliances exports from Poland, comprising 49% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by the Czech Republic ($X), with a 6.6% share of total exports. It was followed by Belarus, with a 6.5% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Germany amounted to +3.4%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: the Czech Republic (+12.6% per year) and Belarus (-6.6% per year).

Export Prices by Country

The average agricultural appliance export price stood at $X per unit in 2021, picking up by 2.9% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, recorded a deep downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 an increase of 16%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $X per unit. From 2014 to 2021, the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably country of destination: the country with the highest price was Austria ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Lithuania ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Sweden (+21.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Agricultural Appliance Imports

Imports into Poland

In 2021, approx. X units of agricultural appliances were imported into Poland; growing by 61% on the year before. In general, imports showed a significant increase. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, agricultural appliance imports surged to $X in 2021. Overall, imports showed resilient growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when imports increased by 24% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

Imports by Country

Italy (X units), China (X units) and France (X units) were the main suppliers of agricultural appliance imports to Poland, with a combined 52% share of total imports. Germany, Greece, Taiwan (Chinese), Austria, Spain, the Czech Republic and the Netherlands lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 43%.

From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Greece (with a CAGR of +81.6%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Germany ($X), Italy ($X) and France ($X) were the largest agricultural appliance suppliers to Poland, with a combined 57% share of total imports. These countries were followed by China, Taiwan (Chinese), the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Austria, Spain and Greece, which together accounted for a further 37%.

Taiwan (Chinese), with a CAGR of +43.6%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, in terms of the main suppliers over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import Prices by Country

In 2021, the average agricultural appliance import price amounted to $X per unit, shrinking by -23.2% against the previous year. In general, the import price faced a dramatic descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when the average import price increased by 14% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $X per unit. From 2016 to 2021, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($X per unit), while the price for Greece ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (-6.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
