Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate a perceptible expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 with an increase of 460%. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

Moreover, artificial fur imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Ukraine (X tons), more than tenfold. Germany (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 4% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from China totaled +2.5%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Ukraine (+41.5% per year) and Germany (+37.8% per year).

In value terms, China ($X) constituted the largest supplier of artificial fur to Poland, comprising 81% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Germany ($X), with a 6.1% share of total imports. It was followed by Myanmar, with a 4.1% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value from China totaled +10.0%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Germany (+24.1% per year) and Myanmar (+142.4% per year).

The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2015 when the average import price increased by 104% against the previous year.
