After two years of decline, supplies from abroad of base stations increased by 48% to X tons in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, showed a abrupt contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 97% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2019 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, base station imports reached $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, showed a deep slump. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 when imports increased by 37%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

In 2021, Estonia (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of base station to Poland, with a 45% share of total imports. Moreover, base station imports from Estonia exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, China (X tons), threefold. The third position in this ranking was taken by the Netherlands (X tons), with a 14% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from Estonia totaled +47.7%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: China (-19.3% per year) and the Netherlands (+1.3% per year).

In value terms, Germany ($X), Estonia ($X) and China ($X) appeared to be the largest base station suppliers to Poland, with a combined 62% share of total imports.

Estonia, with a CAGR of +24.8%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, in terms of the main suppliers over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced mixed trend patterns.

The average base station import price stood at $X per ton in 2021, with a decrease of -31.6% against the previous year. Overall, the import price saw a noticeable decline. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 an increase of 35%. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $X per ton in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2021, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
