After two years of growth, supplies from abroad of beeswax decreased by -6.2% to X tons in 2022. Overall, imports, however, recorded strong growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by 36%. Imports peaked at X tons in 2021, and then dropped in the following year.

In value terms, beeswax imports fell to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, recorded a strong expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 47%. Imports peaked at $X in 2021, and then contracted in the following year.

In 2022, Germany (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of beeswax to Poland, with a 57% share of total imports. Moreover, beeswax imports from Germany exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, China (X tons), fourfold. Spain (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 12% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume from Germany totaled +20.7%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: China (+10.6% per year) and Spain (+424.7% per year).

In value terms, Germany ($X) constituted the largest supplier of beeswax to Poland, comprising 56% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Spain ($X), with a 13% share of total imports. It was followed by China, with an 11% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value from Germany totaled +20.1%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Spain (+421.6% per year) and China (+9.3% per year).

In 2022, the average beeswax import price amounted to $X per ton, shrinking by -7.7% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price recorded a slight downturn. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when the average import price increased by 8.1%.
