The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when exports increased by 18% against the previous year. In value terms, cheese and curd exports amounted to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, total exports indicated strong growth from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +5.6% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +86.4% against 2015 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when exports increased by 30%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

Germany (X tons), the Czech Republic (X tons) and Italy (X tons) were the main destinations of cheese and curd exports from Poland, together comprising 31% of total exports. Romania, Ukraine, the UK, Slovakia, Spain, Lithuania, Saudi Arabia, Hungary, the Netherlands and Latvia lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 45%.

In value terms, the largest markets for cheese and curd exported from Poland were Germany ($X), the Czech Republic ($X) and Italy ($X), with a combined 31% share of total exports. Ukraine, the UK, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Lithuania, Hungary, Saudi Arabia, Latvia and the Netherlands lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 46%.
Ukraine, with a CAGR of +14.4%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, in terms of the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Average prices varied somewhat for the major overseas markets. Imports into Poland
In 2022, approx. X tons of cheese and curd were imported into Poland; remaining stable against the previous year's figure. Over the period under review, total imports indicated resilient growth from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +6.2% over the last decade. In 2022, Germany (X tons) constituted the largest cheese and curd supplier to Poland, accounting for a 40% share of total imports. Moreover, cheese and curd imports from Germany exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Italy (X tons), fourfold. The third position in this ranking was held by the Netherlands (X tons), with an 8.8% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from Germany stood at +3.2%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Italy (+9.9% per year) and the Netherlands (+5.4% per year).
In value terms, Germany ($X) constituted the largest supplier of cheese and curd to Poland, comprising 36% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Italy ($X), with a 14% share of total imports. It was followed by the Netherlands, with a 9.5% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from Germany totaled +7.3%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Italy (+13.6% per year) and the Netherlands (+11.3% per year).
