These countries were followed by France, Russia, Italy, the Czech Republic, Spain, Sweden, Belgium, Romania, China and Hungary, which together accounted for a further 26%.

Hungary, with a CAGR of +21.5%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, in terms of the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, the average computing machinery export price amounted to $X per ton, growing by 3.9% against the previous year. In general, the export price enjoyed a resilient increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when the average export price increased by 52%. The export price peaked in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Belgium ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to France (+20.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Poland

In 2021, computing machinery imports into Poland reduced to X tons, dropping by -5.8% compared with the previous year's figure. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 31% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons, and then fell in the following year.

In value terms, computing machinery imports rose sharply to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, total imports indicated a resilient increase from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +5.2% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +65.0% against 2016 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when imports increased by 25% against the previous year. China (X tons), Germany (X tons) and the Netherlands (X tons) were the main suppliers of computing machinery imports to Poland, with a combined 79% share of total imports. These countries were followed by the Czech Republic, Hungary, Vietnam, France, the Philippines, Thailand and Japan, which together accounted for a further 14%.

From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Hungary (with a CAGR of +31.6%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
