Italy (X tons) was the main destination for dry bean exports from Poland, with a 31% share of total exports. Over the period under review, export price indicated a measured increase from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +3.1% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, dry bean export price increased by +52.6% against 2016 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 when the average export price increased by 41%. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 with an increase of 83% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in years to come.

In 2022, Argentina (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of dry bean to Poland, with a 37% share of total imports. Moreover, dry bean imports from Argentina exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, China (X tons), threefold. Ukraine (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 13% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from Argentina stood at +144.3%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: China (-5.5% per year) and Ukraine (+20.9% per year).

In value terms, Argentina ($X), China ($X) and the United States ($X) constituted the largest dry bean suppliers to Poland, together comprising 64% of total imports.

Argentina, with a CAGR of +150.4%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, among the main suppliers over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
