There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to the UK ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Netherlands (+3.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Poland
In 2021, purchases abroad of ferro-cerium and pyrophoric alloys increased by 138% to X tons for the first time since 2017, thus ending a three-year declining trend. In general, imports, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. Imports peaked at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, ferro-cerium and pyrophoric alloys imports soared to $X in 2021. Overall, imports continue to indicate slight growth. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Imports by Country
In 2021, Germany (X tons) constituted the largest ferro-cerium and pyrophoric alloys supplier to Poland, accounting for a 40% share of total imports. Moreover, ferro-cerium and pyrophoric alloys imports from Germany exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, the Netherlands (X tons), twofold. The UK (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 17% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume from Germany totaled -8.3%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: the Netherlands (-0.3% per year) and the UK (+114.7% per year).
