The second position in the ranking was held by the United States ($X), with a 7.8% share of total exports. It was followed by Hungary, with a 4.2% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value to Germany stood at +3.7%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: the United States (-8.0% per year) and Hungary (+27.3% per year).

The average aromatic hydrocarbons derivatives export price stood at $X per ton in 2021, jumping by 41% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a mild downturn. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $X per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Hungary ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to India ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

Imports into Poland
In 2021, the amount of halogenated derivatives of aromatic hydrocarbons imported into Poland surged to X tons, with an increase of 80% against the previous year's figure. In general, imports posted prominent growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 with an increase of 22,655% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum in 2021 and are likely to see steady growth in years to come.
In value terms, aromatic hydrocarbons derivatives imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Overall, imports enjoyed a resilient expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 11,899% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
Imports by Country
China (X tons), Belgium (X tons) and the Netherlands (X tons) were the main suppliers of aromatic hydrocarbons derivatives imports to Poland, with a combined 84% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Belgium (with a CAGR of +77.0%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
