Germany (X units), the Netherlands (X units) and Denmark (X units) were the main destinations of hearing aid exports from Poland, with a combined 47% share of total exports. France, the UK, Spain, the United States, Italy, Canada, Switzerland, Japan and Norway lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 40%.

The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when imports increased by 189% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

In value terms, hearing aid imports surged to $X in 2021. In general, imports enjoyed significant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 83%. In 2021, Singapore (X units) constituted the largest hearing aid supplier to Poland, with a 60% share of total imports. Moreover, hearing aid imports from Singapore exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, the United States (X units), threefold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Germany (X units), with an 8.9% share.

In value terms, Singapore ($X) constituted the largest supplier of hearing aid to Poland, comprising 43% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by the United States ($X), with a 21% share of total imports. It was followed by Denmark, with an 8.3% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value from Singapore totaled +46.1%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: the United States (+91.0% per year) and Denmark (+17.4% per year).

In 2021, the average hearing aid import price amounted to $X per unit, increasing by 7.9% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a drastic downturn. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 an increase of 34%. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $X per unit. From 2014 to 2021, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Denmark ($X per unit), while the price for Germany ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
