Germany (X tons), the Czech Republic (X tons) and Hungary (X tons) were the main destinations of non-alloy steel i-sections exports from Poland, together comprising 56% of total exports. These countries were followed by Slovakia, Romania, Estonia, Lithuania, Austria, the Netherlands, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Finland and Luxembourg, which together accounted for a further 33%.

In 2021, imports of i-sections of non-alloy steel into Poland skyrocketed to X tons, jumping by 17% compared with 2020. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +3.0% over the period from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 with an increase of 31% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at X tons in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
