Moreover, industrial sewing machine exports to Germany exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, the Czech Republic (X units), sevenfold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Norway (X units), with a 4.7% share.

Imports into Poland

Industrial sewing machine imports into Poland dropped significantly to X units in 2022, which is down by -40.3% compared with 2021 figures. In general, imports, however, enjoyed a remarkable increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 83%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X units. From 2018 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, industrial sewing machine imports shrank to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, total imports indicated strong growth from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +5.1% over the last decade.
