In value terms, knife and scissors exports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Overall, exports posted a significant increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 when exports increased by 56%. The exports peaked in 2021 and are likely to see gradual growth in years to come.

Germany (X tons) was the main destination for knife and scissors exports from Poland, with a 47% share of total exports. Moreover, knife and scissors exports to Germany exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, the Czech Republic (X tons), sevenfold. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 when imports increased by 31%. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, knife and scissors imports surged to $X in 2021. Overall, imports saw resilient growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of 41%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2021 and are likely to see steady growth in the near future.
