In 2021, overseas shipments of linoleum decreased by -61.6% to X square meters, falling for the second year in a row after five years of growth. Over the period under review, exports, however, posted significant growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 with an increase of 511%. The exports peaked at X square meters in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, linoleum exports surged to $X in 2021. Overall, exports, however, enjoyed a significant expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 when exports increased by 279%. Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

The Czech Republic (X square meters) was the main destination for linoleum exports from Poland, accounting for a 60% share of total exports. Moreover, linoleum exports to the Czech Republic exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Lithuania (X square meters), sixfold. Latvia (X square meters) ranked third in terms of total exports with a 5% share.

The average linoleum export price stood at $X per square meter in 2021, increasing by 238% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, continues to indicate a abrupt shrinkage. Imports into Poland

In 2021, linoleum imports into Poland amounted to X square meters, remaining relatively unchanged against 2020 figures. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +4.1% from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 with an increase of 53% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X square meters. From 2015 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
