Over the period under review, imports, however, showed a buoyant expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when imports increased by 430%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X units. From 2014 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, electroplating machine imports dropped remarkably to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, showed a resilient expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when imports increased by 241%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2020, and then contracted markedly in the following year.
Imports by Country
In 2021, Italy (X units) constituted the largest supplier of electroplating machine to Poland, accounting for a 65% share of total imports. Moreover, electroplating machine imports from Italy exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Germany (X units), threefold. China (X units) ranked third in terms of total imports with an 11% share.
