Mannequin Market Size in Poland

In 2022, the Polish mannequin market increased by 112% to $X, rising for the second year in a row after three years of decline. Over the period under review, consumption continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 95%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of X tons. From 2019 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, mannequin exports rose remarkably to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, posted a resilient increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 with an increase of 234% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X. From 2015 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Germany (X tons) was the main destination for mannequin exports from Poland, with a 31% share of total exports. Moreover, mannequin exports to Germany exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, the Netherlands (X tons), twofold. The third position in this ranking was held by Switzerland (X tons), with an 8% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume to Germany stood at +21.6%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: the Netherlands (+81.7% per year) and Switzerland (+32.8% per year).

In value terms, Germany ($X), Switzerland ($X) and Ukraine ($X) constituted the largest markets for mannequin exported from Poland worldwide, together comprising 52% of total exports. The United States, the UK, the Netherlands, the United Arab Emirates, the Czech Republic, Austria, Belgium, Slovakia, Romania and Serbia lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 24%.

Belgium, with a CAGR of +109.2%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, among the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Export Prices by Country

In 2022, the average mannequin export price amounted to $X per ton, surging by 27% against the previous year. In general, the export price posted strong growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 when the average export price increased by 100%. The export price peaked in 2022 and is likely to continue growth in years to come.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Serbia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Ukraine (+47.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Mannequin Imports

Imports into Poland

In 2022, imports of mannequins into Poland fell significantly to X tons, which is down by -17.9% compared with the previous year. Overall, imports, however, showed a buoyant expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 48%. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, mannequin imports contracted notably to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, enjoyed a tangible increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 133%. Imports peaked at $X in 2021, and then dropped rapidly in the following year.

China (X tons), the United Arab Emirates (X tons) and the United States (X tons) were the main suppliers of mannequin imports to Poland, with a combined 61% share of total imports. Ukraine, the UK, the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, the Czech Republic and Austria lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 25%.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Ukraine (with a CAGR of +56.6%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest mannequin suppliers to Poland were China ($X), the United States ($X) and the United Arab Emirates ($X), together comprising 54% of total imports.
