Non-Household Fan Market Size in Poland

After two years of growth, the Polish non-household fan market decreased by -49.3% to $X in 2022. Overall, consumption, however, saw a strong expansion. Non-household fan consumption peaked at $X in 2021, and then contracted dramatically in the following year.

Non-Household Fan Production in Poland

In value terms, non-household fan production contracted slightly to $X in 2022 estimated in export price. Over the period under review, production, however, showed a noticeable slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when the production volume increased by 17% against the previous year. Over the period under review, production attained the maximum level at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, production failed to regain momentum.

In 2022, overseas shipments of non-household ventilation fans decreased by -49.5% to X units for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year rising trend. In general, exports, however, saw a mild increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 65%. The exports peaked at X units in 2021, and then contracted significantly in the following year.

In value terms, non-household fan exports dropped rapidly to $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, enjoyed moderate growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 47% against the previous year. The exports peaked at $X in 2021, and then fell markedly in the following year.

Exports by Country

Germany (X units), Italy (X units) and Turkey (X units) were the main destinations of non-household fan exports from Poland, together accounting for 39% of total exports. Slovakia, Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Latvia, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Hungary, Romania and the United States lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 34%.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for the United States (with a CAGR of +35.4%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Germany ($X), Slovakia ($X) and Lithuania ($X) constituted the largest markets for non-household fan exported from Poland worldwide, with a combined 43% share of total exports.

Slovakia, with a CAGR of +35.0%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, among the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Export Prices by Country

The average non-household fan export price stood at $X per unit in 2022, waning by -5.1% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, showed a notable expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 an increase of 30%. The export price peaked at $X per unit in 2021, and then dropped in the following year.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Lithuania ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Italy ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Hungary (+12.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Poland

In 2022, supplies from abroad of non-household ventilation fans decreased by -51.9% to X units for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year rising trend. Overall, imports, however, recorded prominent growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 47%. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at X units in 2021, and then contracted notably in the following year.

In value terms, non-household fan imports shrank remarkably to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, posted a tangible expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 with an increase of 37%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2021, and then fell remarkably in the following year.

Imports by Country

In 2022, China (X units) constituted the largest non-household fan supplier to Poland, accounting for a 62% share of total imports. Moreover, non-household fan imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Germany (X units), fourfold. South Korea (X units) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 2.9% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from China amounted to +19.4%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Germany (+15.7% per year) and South Korea (+30.7% per year).

In value terms, the largest non-household fan suppliers to Poland were China ($X), Germany ($X) and Italy ($X), with a combined 70% share of total imports. The Czech Republic, Thailand, South Korea, Vietnam, Ukraine, Slovenia and Switzerland lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 14%.

Thailand, with a CAGR of +41.0%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, among the main suppliers over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import Prices by Country

In 2022, the average non-household fan import price amounted to $X per unit, increasing by 8.6% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a noticeable contraction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 an increase of 22% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per unit. From 2015 to 2022, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Switzerland ($X per unit), while the price for China ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Switzerland (+21.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
