The second position in the ranking was taken by France ($X), with a 12% share of total exports. It was followed by the Netherlands, with an 8.2% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Germany amounted to +4.7%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: France (+27.9% per year) and the Netherlands (+31.0% per year).

As a result, the export price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Ukraine ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Switzerland ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

Over the period under review, imports, however, saw a slight slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when imports increased by 143% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at X tons in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, phosphoric acid imports surged to $X in 2022. Overall, imports recorded a remarkable increase. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In 2022, Morocco (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of phosphoric acid to Poland, accounting for a 56% share of total imports. Moreover, phosphoric acid imports from Morocco exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, China (X tons), threefold. Serbia (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with an 8.4% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from Morocco amounted to -1.5%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: China (+32.9% per year) and Serbia (+84.7% per year).

In value terms, Morocco ($X), China ($X) and Serbia ($X) appeared to be the largest phosphoric acid suppliers to Poland, together comprising 75% of total imports. Germany, Belgium, Israel, Austria, the Czech Republic and the Netherlands lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 13%.

Among the main suppliers, Austria, with a CAGR of +227.8%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average phosphoric acid import price stood at $X per ton in 2022, picking up by 103% against the previous year. Overall, the import price saw a resilient expansion. As a result, import price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($X per ton), while the price for Germany ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
