In value terms, plaits and basketwork imports rose rapidly to $X in 2022. Overall, imports saw a prominent expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 52%. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.

In 2022, China (X tons) constituted the largest plaits and basketwork supplier to Poland, with a 45% share of total imports. From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from China amounted to +8.3%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Vietnam (+11.1% per year) and Bangladesh (+96.2% per year).

In 2022, the average plaits and basketwork import price amounted to $X per ton, surging by 13% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +2.2%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 an increase of 26%.
