Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.
In value terms, prefabricated buildings exports expanded markedly to $X in 2022. In general, exports posted prominent growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of 30%. The exports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.
Exports by Country
Germany (X units) was the main destination for prefabricated buildings exports from Poland, with a 31% share of total exports. Moreover, prefabricated buildings exports to Germany exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Sweden (X units), threefold. The third position in this ranking was held by the Netherlands (X units), with an 11% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume to Germany totaled +7.0%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Sweden (+32.6% per year) and the Netherlands (+17.9% per year).
It was followed by the UK, with a 10% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Germany stood at +13.4%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: the Netherlands (+24.0% per year) and the UK (+28.7% per year).
Export Prices by Country
The average prefabricated buildings export price stood at $X per unit in 2022, rising by 6.1% against the previous year. In general, the export price recorded pronounced growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 an increase of 18%. The export price peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Hungary ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Russia (+8.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Poland
After two years of growth, supplies from abroad of prefabricated buildings decreased by -22.3% to X units in 2022. In general, imports, however, recorded strong growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 76% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X units, and then fell markedly in the following year.
In value terms, prefabricated buildings imports reduced notably to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, saw strong growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 89%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X, and then shrank rapidly in the following year.
Imports by Country
The UK (X units), Estonia (X units) and Ukraine (X units) were the main suppliers of prefabricated buildings imports to Poland, with a combined 42% share of total imports. Germany, China, Russia, Luxembourg, Belarus, Lithuania, the United States, Israel, France and Sweden lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 49%.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Lithuania (with a CAGR of +88.9%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Germany ($X), China ($X) and the UK ($X) constituted the largest prefabricated buildings suppliers to Poland, with a combined 41% share of total imports. Ukraine, Estonia, Luxembourg, Israel, Russia, Lithuania, France, Belarus, the United States and Sweden lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 46%.
Lithuania, with a CAGR of +96.3%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, in terms of the main suppliers over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
In 2022, the average prefabricated buildings import price amounted to $X per unit, picking up by 8.8% against the previous year. In general, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 when the average import price increased by 11% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $X per unit in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Israel ($X per unit), while the price for Estonia ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Belarus (+16.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
