The exports peaked at X units in 2021, and then fell modestly in the following year.
In value terms, pressure-reducing iron valve exports rose slightly to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, continue to indicate a strong increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 27%. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.
Exports by Country
Germany (X units), Ukraine (X units) and Denmark (X units) were the main destinations of pressure-reducing iron valve exports from Poland, together accounting for 34% of total exports. France, Norway, Italy, Thailand, the United States, Kazakhstan, Australia, Peru, China and the UK lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 35%.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Norway (with a CAGR of +69.2%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest markets for pressure-reducing iron valve exported from Poland were Germany ($X), Denmark ($X) and the United States ($X), with a combined 32% share of total exports. Italy, Ukraine, France, Norway, Thailand, Australia, Kazakhstan, Peru, China and the UK lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 35%.
Norway, with a CAGR of +66.7%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, in terms of the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average pressure-reducing iron valve export price stood at $X per unit in 2022, rising by 5.7% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.4%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the average export price increased by 10%. The export price peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Ukraine ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

Imports into Poland
In 2022, overseas purchases of pressure-reducing, control, check and safety valves decreased by -6.2% to X units for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year rising trend. Over the period under review, total imports indicated temperate growth from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +3.8% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +31.0% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when imports increased by 31%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X units in 2021, and then fell in the following year.
In value terms, pressure-reducing iron valve imports contracted to $X in 2022. Overall, total imports indicated a noticeable expansion from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +4.7% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +52.4% against 2014 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 with an increase of 22%. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at $X in 2021, and then declined modestly in the following year.
Imports by Country
In 2022, Italy (X units) constituted the largest pressure-reducing iron valve supplier to Poland, accounting for a 39% share of total imports. Moreover, pressure-reducing iron valve imports from Italy exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, China (X units), threefold. Germany (X units) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 13% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume from Italy was relatively modest. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: China (+11.2% per year) and Germany (+0.5% per year).
In value terms, Italy ($X), Germany ($X) and Hungary ($X) appeared to be the largest pressure-reducing iron valve suppliers to Poland, with a combined 58% share of total imports. China, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands and France lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 19%.
Among the main suppliers, the Netherlands, with a CAGR of +41.8%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
The average pressure-reducing iron valve import price stood at $X per unit in 2022, with an increase of 2.4% against the previous year. In general, the import price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 an increase of 16%. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $X per unit in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($X per unit), while the price for France ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
