The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 when exports increased by 46% against the previous year. The exports peaked at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

The Czech Republic (X tons), Germany (X tons) and Slovakia (X tons) were the main destinations of refractory bricks, blocks and tiles exports from Poland, together comprising 50% of total exports.

In 2021, the amount of refractory bricks, blocks and tiles imported into Poland skyrocketed to X tons, rising by 17% on the year before. Over the period under review, imports saw a buoyant increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when imports increased by 81% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2019 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, refractory bricks, blocks and tiles imports soared to $X in 2021. In general, imports enjoyed a noticeable increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 77%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2019 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
