Germany (X tons) was the main destination for fromwork exports from Poland, accounting for a 51% share of total exports. Moreover, fromwork exports to Germany exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, the Netherlands (X tons), sixfold. The third position in this ranking was taken by the Czech Republic (X tons), with a 5.6% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume to Germany totaled +20.3%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: the Netherlands (+34.4% per year) and the Czech Republic (+16.7% per year).

In value terms, Germany ($X) remains the key foreign market for shuttering for concrete constructional work, shingles and shakes, of wood exports from Poland, comprising 43% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by the Netherlands ($X), with a 12% share of total exports. It was followed by Croatia, with a 7.7% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value to Germany totaled +20.3%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: the Netherlands (+51.6% per year) and Croatia (+34.5% per year).

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 92% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X, and then contracted sharply in the following year.

Austria (X tons), the Czech Republic (X tons) and Slovakia (X tons) were the main suppliers of fromwork imports to Poland, with a combined 80% share of total imports. Germany, Ukraine, Russia and China lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 14%.

Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure in 2022 and is likely to see steady growth in years to come.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($X per ton), while the price for China ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
