Moreover, silicone imports from Germany exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, France (X tons), threefold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Belgium (X tons), with a 13% share.

In value terms, Germany ($X) constituted the largest supplier of silicones (in primary forms) to Poland, comprising 46% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by France ($X), with an 11% share of total imports. It was followed by Belgium, with an 11% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value from Germany stood at +9.6%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: France (+33.0% per year) and Belgium (+6.2% per year).

The average silicone import price stood at $X per ton in 2021, increasing by 8.2% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2021, it increased at an average annual rate of +2.1%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when the average import price increased by 27%. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $X per ton. From 2019 to 2021, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($X per ton), while the price for China ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
