Sulphur Market Size in Poland

In 2022, the Polish sulphur market decreased by -2.4% to $X, falling for the third consecutive year after two years of growth. Over the period under review, the total consumption indicated modest growth from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +1.9% over the last decade. The average sulphur export price stood at $X per ton in 2022, picking up by 60% against the previous year. Overall, the export price continues to indicate a resilient expansion. As a result, the export price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Romania ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to the Czech Republic ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

Sulphur imports into Poland fell sharply to X tons in 2022, waning by -80.8% compared with the previous year's figure. In general, imports showed a significant decrease. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
