Wine Market Size in Poland

The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +64.6% against 2012 indices. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Italy (X litres), Germany (X litres) and France (X litres) were the main suppliers of wine imports to Poland, with a combined 51% share of total imports. Spain, Portugal, Bulgaria, Moldova, Chile, Georgia and the United States lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 40%.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Georgia (with a CAGR of +15.5%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was France ($X per litre), while the price for Bulgaria ($X per litre) was amongst the lowest.
