The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 when exports increased by 68% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure at $X in 2021, and then shrank remarkably in the following year.

Russia (X litres) was the main destination for wine of fresh grapes exports from Poland, accounting for a 67% share of total exports. Moreover, wine of fresh grapes exports to Russia exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Ukraine (X litres), threefold.

In 2022, supplies from abroad of wine of fresh grapes (except sparkling wine) decreased by -2.3% to X litres for the first time since 2014, thus ending a seven-year rising trend. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +4.1% over the period from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when imports increased by 9.6% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at X litres in 2021, and then fell in the following year.
In value terms, wine of fresh grapes imports declined to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, total imports indicated pronounced growth from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +4.9% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +58.2% against 2015 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 with an increase of 23%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2021, and then reduced in the following year.
