Germany (X units) was the main destination for wooden frame exports from Poland, accounting for a 24% share of total exports. Moreover, wooden frame exports to Germany exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, France (X units), twofold. In 2022, purchases abroad of wooden frames for paintings, photographs, mirrors or similar objects increased by 7.3% to X units for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year declining trend. Over the period under review, imports showed strong growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when imports increased by 54% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X units in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, wooden frame imports expanded markedly to $X in 2022. Overall, imports saw a buoyant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when imports increased by 36%.
