Ukraine (X square meters), Belarus (X square meters) and Bosnia and Herzegovina (X square meters) were the main destinations of woolen fabric exports from Poland, together accounting for 64% of total exports. These countries were followed by Uzbekistan, China, Russia, Sweden, Turkey, the UK, Serbia, Italy, Moldova, Bulgaria and Croatia, which together accounted for a further 28%.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when the average export price increased by 106% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

In value terms, woolen fabric imports fell to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, saw a noticeable decline. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 41%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2019 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Italy (X square meters), Denmark (X square meters) and Germany (X square meters) were the main suppliers of woolen fabric imports to Poland, with a combined 67% share of total imports. These countries were followed by Lithuania, the UK, China, Slovenia, Belgium, France, San Marino, the Netherlands and Turkey, which together accounted for a further 29%.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Slovenia (with a CAGR of +333.9%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
