In value terms, aniline imports amounted to $X in 2021. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a sharp reduction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 with an increase of 1,637%. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

Spain (X kg), France (X kg) and India (X kg) were the main suppliers of aniline imports to Portugal, with a combined 85% share of total imports. Germany and Belgium lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 15%. Moreover, aniline imports in Spain exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, France, twofold.
