In 2021, the Portuguese wire and cable market decreased by -27.9% to $X, falling for the third consecutive year after two years of growth. Over the period under review, the export price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. As a result, the export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Ireland ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
