As a result, imports reached the peak of X cubic meters. From 2019 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, particle board imports dropped modestly to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, enjoyed prominent growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 45%. In 2022, Spain (X cubic meters) constituted the largest particle board supplier to Portugal, with a 67% share of total imports. Moreover, particle board imports from Spain exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, France (X cubic meters), threefold.
