Frozen Sweet Corn Market Size in Portugal

After two years of decline, the Portuguese frozen sweet corn market increased by 14% to $X in 2021. Overall, consumption recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. Angola (X tons), Brazil (X tons) and Cuba (X tons) were the main destinations of frozen sweet corn exports from Portugal, together comprising 65% of total exports. Spain, Cyprus, Sao Tome and Principe, Cabo Verde and France lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 31%.

Imports peaked at X tons in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, frozen sweet corn imports soared to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 with an increase of 35% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
