Wood Tool Market Size in Portugal

In 2021, after two years of growth, there was significant decline in the Portuguese wood tool market, when its value decreased by -19.1% to $X. Overall, consumption, however, recorded a prominent increase. Over the period under review, imports, however, posted a pronounced expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when imports increased by 115% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2018 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, wood tool imports dropped notably to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, showed strong growth. Spain (X tons), France (X tons) and the Netherlands (X tons) were the main suppliers of wood tool imports to Portugal, with a combined 68% share of total imports. These countries were followed by China, Brazil, Germany and Poland, which together accounted for a further 30%.
