Exports by Country

Germany (X tons) and the United States (X tons) were the largest exporters of paperboard case materials in 2021, recording near 15% and 14% of total exports, respectively. It was distantly followed by Sweden (X tons) and France (X tons), together comprising an 11% share of total exports. The following exporters - the Netherlands (X tons), Russia (X tons), Canada (X tons), Poland (X tons), Austria (X tons), Finland (X tons), Japan (X tons), Indonesia (X tons) and India (X tons) - together made up 31% of total exports.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main exporting countries, was attained by India (with a CAGR of +70.2%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest paperboard case material supplying countries from Puerto Rico were the United States ($X), Germany ($X) and Sweden ($X), together accounting for 36% of total exports. China was also the fastest-growing in terms of the paperboard case materials imports, with a CAGR of +27.3% from 2012 to 2021.
