In value terms, China ($X) remains the largest domestic toaster supplier from Puerto Rico, comprising 86% of global exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Germany ($X), with a 2.5% share of global exports.

From 2012 to 2021, average annual rates of growth with regard to domestic toaster imports into the United States stood at +1.9%. At the same time, the Netherlands (+12.6%), Hong Kong SAR (+12.2%), Poland (+11.3%), Spain (+11.2%), India (+6.7%), Italy (+5.8%), Germany (+3.8%) and Japan (+1.9%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, the Netherlands emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the world, with a CAGR of +12.6% from 2012-2021. The UK, France, Australia and Canada experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. While the share of Spain (+2.4 p.p.) and the Netherlands (+1.9 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the global imports from 2012-2021, the share of the UK (-1.9 p.p.) and the United States (-2.5 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, the largest domestic toaster importing markets into Puerto Rico were the United States ($X), Japan ($X) and the UK ($X), together comprising 36% of total imports. Germany, Canada, France, Australia, Spain, Italy, Poland, the Netherlands, India and Hong Kong SAR lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 35%.

Among the main importing countries, Poland, with a CAGR of +17.0%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
