The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Chile ($X) remains the largest iodine, fluorine and bromine supplier from Puerto Rico, comprising 40% of global exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Belgium ($X), with a 15% share of global exports. It was followed by Israel, with a 14% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in Chile amounted to -4.3%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Belgium (+0.2% per year) and Israel (+8.0% per year).

By contrast, Germany (-3.6%), France (-3.8%), Belgium (-4.1%), the United States (-5.3%), the UK (-7.5%) and Free Zones (-20.0%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. China (+27 p.p.), India (+3.6 p.p.), Singapore (+2 p.p.) and Saudi Arabia (+1.6 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the global imports, while the United States, France, the UK, Belgium and Free Zones saw its share reduced by -1.8%, -2%, -3.3%, -6.3% and -22.1% from 2012 to 2021, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, China ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported iodine, fluorine and bromine into Puerto Rico, comprising 31% of global imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Belgium ($X), with an 11% share of global imports. It was followed by India, with a 10% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in China amounted to +5.9%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Belgium (-5.8% per year) and India (-1.4% per year).
