The following exporters - Vietnam (X tons), the United States (X tons), Canada (X tons), China (X tons), Egypt (X tons), Pakistan (X tons), Spain (X tons) and India (X tons) - together made up 21% of total exports.
Exports from Thailand increased at an average annual rate of +1.4% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, India (+13.6%), Egypt (+6.9%), the United States (+5.0%), Spain (+4.7%), Pakistan (+4.1%), the Netherlands (+3.2%), Canada (+3.2%), France (+2.5%) and Belgium (+1.1%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, India emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the world, with a CAGR of +13.6% from 2012-2021. China and Germany experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Vietnam (-9.9%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2021, the share of the Netherlands increased by +1.6 percentage points. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, the largest root and tuber supplying countries from Puerto Rico were Thailand ($X), the Netherlands ($X) and France ($X), together comprising 40% of total exports. These countries were followed by the United States, Germany, China, Canada, Vietnam, Egypt, Belgium, Spain, Pakistan and India, which together accounted for a further 36%.
