The exports peaked at X tons in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, the exports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, reclaimed rubber exports reduced remarkably to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, exports, however, recorded a significant increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 when exports increased by 13,631% against the previous year. The exports peaked at $X in 2020, and then shrank dramatically in the following year.

Pakistan (X tons) was the main destination for reclaimed rubber exports from Qatar, with a 87% share of total exports. Moreover, reclaimed rubber exports to Pakistan exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Thailand (X tons), more than tenfold.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume to Pakistan stood at +177.2%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Thailand (+36.1% per year) and Turkey (-28.3% per year).
In value terms, Pakistan ($X) remains the key foreign market for reclaimed rubber exports from Qatar, comprising 86% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Turkey ($X), with a 7% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Pakistan stood at +201.0%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Turkey (-19.9% per year) and Thailand (+47.8% per year).

The average reclaimed rubber export price stood at $X per ton in 2021, growing by 3.3% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, recorded a abrupt shrinkage. Imports into Qatar
For the third consecutive year, Qatar recorded growth in supplies from abroad of reclaimed rubber, which increased by 24% to X tons in 2021. In general, imports continue to indicate prominent growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 when imports increased by 85%. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, reclaimed rubber imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Overall, imports posted a strong increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 when imports increased by 182% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.
Imports by Country
In 2021, the United States (X tons) constituted the largest reclaimed rubber supplier to Qatar, with a 60% share of total imports. Moreover, reclaimed rubber imports from the United States exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, China (X tons), threefold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Spain (X tons), with an 8.7% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume from the United States amounted to +119.8%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: China (+26.7% per year) and Spain (+7.5% per year).
In value terms, the United States ($X) constituted the largest supplier of reclaimed rubber to Qatar, comprising 70% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by China ($X), with a 14% share of total imports. It was followed by Spain, with a 9.5% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value from the United States stood at +76.2%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: China (+33.6% per year) and Spain (+56.1% per year).
Import Prices by Country
In 2021, the average reclaimed rubber import price amounted to $X per ton, surging by 14% against the previous year. In general, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when the average import price increased by 79%. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $X per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Portugal ($X per ton), while the price for India ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Portugal (+77.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
