In value terms, the United Arab Emirates ($X) remains the key foreign market for milled rice exports from Qatar, comprising X% of total milled rice exports. The second position in the ranking was occupied by India ($X), with a X% share of total exports. It was followed by Iran, with a X% share.

From 2007 to 2018, the average annual growth rate of value to the United Arab Emirates stood at +X%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: India (-X% per year) and Iran (-X% per year).

In that year, milled rice imports reached their peak of X tons. From 2015 to 2018, the growth of milled rice imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, milled rice imports stood at $X in 2018. Overall, milled rice imports, however, continue to indicate a strong expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2008 when imports increased by X% y-o-y. Imports peaked at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2018, imports failed to regain their momentum.

In 2018, India (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of milled rice to Qatar, with a X% share of total imports. Moreover, milled rice imports from India exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Pakistan (X tons), more than tenfold. Vietnam (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with a X% share.
