China (X tons) was the main destination for non-medical x-ray exports from South Korea, with a 40% share of total exports. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +3.2% over the period from 2012 to 2021; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 with an increase of 23%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2015 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, non-medical x-ray imports surged to $X in 2021. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +4.4% from 2012 to 2021; the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Malaysia (X tons), Germany (X tons) and Japan (X tons) were the main suppliers of non-medical x-ray imports to South Korea, together comprising 72% of total imports. China, the United States, Singapore, the UK and the Netherlands lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 22%.
