Travel Set Market Size in Republic of Korea

After two years of growth, the South Korean travel set market decreased by -11.3% to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, consumption, however, showed strong growth. Travel set consumption peaked at $X in 2020, and then contracted in the following year.

Among the main countries of destination, Israel, with a CAGR of +136.5%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average travel set export price stood at $X per unit in 2021, rising by 2% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, recorded a pronounced decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 an increase of 21% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $X per unit in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Hong Kong SAR ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Oman ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

In 2021, imports of travel sets into South Korea was estimated at X units, increasing by 4.1% on 2020. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a strong expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of 53%. Imports peaked at X units in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, travel set imports dropped to $X in 2021. Overall, imports continue to indicate a prominent increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when imports increased by 38%.
