In value terms, ethylene glycol imports expanded rapidly to $X in 2022. Overall, imports saw prominent growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 86% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.

In 2022, Turkey (X tons) constituted the largest ethylene glycol supplier to Romania, accounting for a 72% share of total imports. Moreover, ethylene glycol imports from Turkey exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Poland (X tons), sixfold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Bulgaria (X tons), with a 6.8% share.
