Russia (X units), Germany (X units) and Bulgaria (X units) were the main destinations of non-enclosed loudspeakers exports from Romania, with a combined 47% share of total exports. The average non-enclosed loudspeakers export price stood at $X per unit in 2021, shrinking by -10.5% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, enjoyed a mild increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 an increase of 102% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $X per unit in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2021, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Moldova ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Turkmenistan ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

After three years of growth, supplies from abroad of loudspeakers (not in enclosure) decreased by -14.1% to X units in 2021. Overall, total imports indicated a notable increase from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +4.6% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +39.8% against 2017 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 with an increase of 36%. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at X units in 2020, and then declined in the following year.

In value terms, non-enclosed loudspeakers imports dropped rapidly to $X in 2021. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +1.2% from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of 29% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Imports by Country

China (X units), Germany (X units) and Hungary (X units) were the main suppliers of non-enclosed loudspeakers imports to Romania, together comprising 75% of total imports. These countries were followed by Belgium, Italy, Vietnam, Poland, Slovenia and Spain, which together accounted for a further 21%.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Vietnam (with a CAGR of +141.7%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 when the average import price increased by 22% against the previous year.
