Import Prices by Country

In 2022, the average mate import price amounted to $X per ton, with a decrease of -30.8% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when the average import price increased by 80% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per ton. From 2016 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the highest price was recorded for prices from Germany ($X per ton) and Poland ($X per ton), while the price for the Czech Republic ($X per ton) and Bulgaria ($X per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+7.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
