The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when imports increased by 22%. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

The Netherlands (X tons), Germany (X tons) and the Czech Republic (X tons) were the main suppliers of potato starch imports to Romania, together comprising 71% of total imports. Poland, Austria, Denmark and France lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 27%.
