In value terms, prefabricated buildings imports reduced modestly to $X in 2022. Overall, imports enjoyed a mild increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 with an increase of 75%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.

Turkey (X units), Italy (X units) and China (X units) were the main suppliers of prefabricated buildings imports to Romania, with a combined 49% share of total imports. Croatia, Austria, Belgium, Germany, Hungary, Bulgaria, France, Poland and Ukraine lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 39%.
